⚡️🇮🇹🇨🇾🚨Italy will send a naval vessel of the military navy to Cyprus with approximately 160 military personnel on board to contribute to the strengthening of the island's defense in the eastern Mediterranean.

🔻 The operation is part of a coordinated device with Spain, France, Greece, and the Netherlands. The contingent may vary depending on the chosen ship, between a frigate or a destroyer.

🔻 In the eastern Mediterranean, a naval shield is forming around Cyprus: among the units present are the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, the attack group of the US aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford, and several European and Greek frigates equipped with air defense and anti-drone systems.

🔻 Rome may send a frigate like the Schergat, equipped with radar capable of detecting drones up to approximately 200 km and Aster-30 missiles with a range of approximately 100 km. The government has reiterated that the mission will have a defensive character and that Italy is not directly participating in military operations against Iran.
