⚡️🇪🇺🚨The European Commission has launched a resilience plan for “emergencies”, also in anticipation of a Russian attack on an EU country within 3-5 years.

🔻Citizens of the EU may be asked to maintain stockpiles of essential goods for at least 72 hours in anticipation of future crises. Furthermore, an EU-wide cybersecurity alert system and a “crisis hub” for coordinating emergencies are to be established.

🔻The EU is counting on strategic stockpiles of medicines, critical materials, and energy to ensure essential services even in the event of conflict or disaster.

🔻A legislative package will assess standards of preparation and flexible funding to tackle crises. Among the 60 planned actions, monitoring of “fake news” and the inclusion of emergency management education in school programs are to be included.
