⚡️🇺🇸🌍📦Donald Trump has imposed new tariffs ranging from 10% to 12.5% on imports from around 60 trading partners, including the European Union, China, Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Japan, and South Korea. The new tariffs replace the expired 10% global tariff and apply to 99.4% of US imports, with some exemptions.

🔻The Trump administration claims that numerous countries do not effectively counter the entry of goods produced through forced labor. The tariffs were introduced under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, after the Supreme Court had annulled much of the previous tariffs imposed under emergency powers.

🔻The European Union, China, Australia, Brazil, Norway, and other trading partners have contested the decision, calling it unjustified and requesting clarification.
