⚡️🇮🇹🏭 Twenty-eight companies in the former Ilva Taranto industrial complex have initiated collective dismissal procedures for more than 2,500 workers.

🔻 The decision follows the order to close the hot area of the plant, scheduled by October for environmental and safety reasons.

🔻 The unions have asked the government to halt the dismissals and to adopt extraordinary measures to protect employment.

🔻 The government has convened a table with unions, local authorities and companies for September 8 at Palazzo Chigi.
