⚡️🇬🇧🇵🇸🚨 The United Kingdom has announced, together with France, Canada, Spain and eight other countries, a package of sanctions against illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, banning the import of their products and providing measures against individuals and companies that support, facilitate or finance their expansion.

🔻Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband accused the “terrorist colonists” of carrying out an “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians in some areas of the West Bank, claiming that the Israeli government often turned a blind eye or supported forced displacement.

🔻Israel reacted by ordering the closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem and banning the entry of 11 British parliamentarians, largely Labour and Green Party members, including Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar described the British accusations as “scandalous and false” and the Labour government as “hostile” to Israel.
