⚡️🇮🇹⚖️ The Autonomous Police Union SAP has announced a legal action against Bologna Mayor Matteo Lepore, holding him "responsible for the damage and injuries that occurred during the clashes" following the demonstration called to demand truth and justice for the death of Abderrahim Fakir.

🔻The SAP has appointed a lawyer to "act in all the appropriate venues" and has announced that it will offer "free legal assistance to more than 60 agents who were injured." According to the police headquarters' balance sheet, more than 70 members of the police forces were injured in the clashes and six service vehicles were damaged.

🔻The general secretary of the union, Stefano Paoloni, has defined the call for the sit-in as a "reckless and irresponsible decision," arguing that the mayor must be held accountable for the consequences of the disorders. Lepore has instead reiterated that asking for "truth and justice" for Fakir does not mean delegitimizing the law enforcement agencies.
