⚡️🇱🇧🇺🇸🚨 The Lebanese government has met at Baabda Palace to discuss the possible disarmament of Hezbollah for the first time.

🔻 The meeting follows weeks of pressure from the US, which is demanding a formal commitment to proceed with negotiations on a plan that involves Israel's withdrawal in exchange for Hezbollah's disarmament.

🔻 Lebanese President Aoun has already presented a counter-proposal that would include a ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli troops, and the delivery of arms to the Lebanese army. Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and allies, on the other hand, propose a text that reaffirms the supremacy of the state and national defense, avoiding direct references to disarmament.

🔻 Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah leader, has rejected disarmament demands, stating that handing over arms means "surrendering to Israel" and that the group will not disarm until Israel completely withdraws.
